Kodjo died from a single knife wound to the heart on Wednesday 14th March 2007.

Kodjo's girlfriend Cookie said they were walking along Hammersmith Grove, Hammersmith, when a
boy approached and picked a fight.

She told the London Evening Standard: "Kodjo is not afraid of anyone so he said, 'Come on,
let's do this.' They went round a corner to be somewhere a bit quieter but we were
ambushed.

"Suddenly all these boys came from round the corner. They all had weapons - knives, hammers and
baseball bats. It was set up."
Witnesses described seeing a gang of boys and several girls chanting "kill him, kill him"
and throwing sticks at Kodjo, before he was attacked.

They are believed to have been trying to take his Staffordshire bull terrier - a much prized gang
accessory - which he would not hand over.

Cookie said she had cradled the boy as he lay dying, saying to him: "Please, please don't
die because I need you."

Kodjo's friend Natalie Hunter told Sky News: "I heard he got stabbed up in his heart,
tortured and he begged for his life and people (his attackers) would not stop and no one was there
to help him.

"I just don't understand why kids are killing kids."

Kodjo, who was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, had been a student at St Charles Catholic
Sixth Form College in west London.

Headteacher Paul O'Shea described him as "friendly, gentle and peaceful" with an
"excellent record".

Anyone with information should call the incident room or 020 8534 4142 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555
111.

You didnt deserve to die Kodjo. May your blessed soul rest in perfect peace. We will all miss you

RIP Kodjo-Never will I forget you!

This all still doesn't seem real, I don't even know what to say. All the times we have been in each others company you where always so happy, so calm.

I remember pickng you up in the car last year summer, from Hammersmith Grove (the very same place you met death). We talked about your GCSE's and what your Predicted grades where. I saw you months later in hammersmith Broadway where I Congratulated you on doing so well.

Now such great talent has gone to waste! You where like an additional part of my family always calling my mum, mum.

I remember you being at every party Kayshia's ever had. It hurts me deep down to know that I knew you since you where around 13 and you have been taken so sudden.

Your death was unfair and cruel, but beautiful angel you will be missed and never ever, ever forgotten.

RIP Kodjo-enjoy your new life in the better place you have gone to.

To His family keep strong for God is Good!

What is going on!!

Firstly, I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Kodjo's family and friends. I am so deeply sorry for your loss.
Secondly, I can't believe that another young life has been taken in such an horrendous and cowardly way. Some of our youths have totally lost it that they would take someone's life. Whatever is happening out there can no longer be ignored!
Rest easy Kodjo

Andrea (unknown) March 16, 2007

NOTE: He was NOT killed for his dog and it wasn't a gang fight. Please do not believe anything you hear on the radio, see on on the news, or read in the papers. they're all liars who are trying to make him out to be another statistic...

My best friend 4 life. Always were, always will be. Nothing in this world could replace him. I love him. Cars run on fuel . He was my fuel.

This terrible. I cant believe that people can do such a terrible thing. By the sounds of things, this young man was a great person and highly regarded by his peers and teachers. I hope the mindless thugs who did this burn in hell. My heart goes out to the family who have to come to terms with all of this..........

Rest in Peace, Kodjo.
